Aeromagnetics for Southern Africa |
|
Aeromags.com was founded by geoscientists who wanted fast and cost-effective low-level aeromagnetics.
Aeromags.com uses several recent developments in aircraft and instrument technology to deliver high-quality data at a very competitive price. These developments include:
Non-metallic airframe; a metal aircraft causes magnetic interference which needs to be compensated for. Our aircraft have composite construction and are therefore non-conductive and non-magnetic resulting in a signal with very little noise. We of course compensate for unavoidable magnetic sources such as the engine.
Miniaturisation of geophysical instrumentation means smaller payloads, and hence lighter, new-generation aircraft can be used. This delivers significant cost-savings in capital and operating expenses. The new aircraft, with stall speeds below 40 knots, are also well suited to flying “low and slow” surveys to obtain highly detailed data. Takeoff runs of a few hundred metres means that short bush strips can be used.
Aeromags.com uses the highest quality magnetometer, radiometrics, GPS, radar altimeter and acquisition software to ensure the spatial data is captured to the highest specifications.
The benefits of contracting Aeromags.com are:
-
Accurate, low-level surveys
-
Big cost savings per line km and ferrying.
